The College will reopen tomorrow 16 February 2017, following today’s total fire ban.

Buses will run as normal.

Congratulations to Matt Rigby, one of the Braemar College’s IT Support staff for being named EducationHQ’s 2017 Technology Unsung Hero.

The College will be closed tomorrow, 15 February 2017 due to a Toal Fire Ban in the Central District.

Buses will not be running.

Students should check SEQTA for work from their teachers. All Incursions and excursions are cancelled.


The College Equestrian Team has been highly successful, achieving consecutive wins at state level in both Dressage and Show Jumping in recent years. The tireless efforts of the Friends of Equestrian committee members and dedicated support of parents have contributed significantly to our team’s success.

Here’s what’s happening at Braemar College over forthcoming weeks:

Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF)

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) commenced in 2015 for four years and will provide payments for eligible students to attend camps, sports and excursions.

The 2017 Academic Assembly was conducted on Tuesday 7 February. Heyward Hall was at capacity with Old Collegians, parents, staff and students. Our guest speaker was Mr Matt Testro (OC’2014).

A day of total fire ban has been declared for the Central District on Thursday 9 February 2017. The College will be closed to students and buses will not run.

Student should check SEQTA for the work set by their teachers.

The Braemar College House Swimming Carnival will be conducted on Wednesday 8 February 2017 at the Sunbury Aquatic Centre.

As part of our risk management processes for other swimming activities throughout the year, the College staff utilise this event to observe students and their swimming capabilities over a 50 m distance.

Please note that there will be an altered bus timetable for the swimming carnival.

This will allow students to arrive at the aquatic centre by 8:20-8:25am, and depart at 4:00-4:15pm.
