State Swimming Championships

On Wednesday 26 April, Braemar had nine students compete in the School Sport Victoria State Swimming Championships at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. This was an amazing achievement for the College to be so well-represented at such a large event including competitors from primary and secondary school age groups.

We had one individual competitor in Dempsey Smith who finished 5th in the 50metre breast stroke for the 11 age group. Braemar was also represented by two girls relay teams; one from the 11 and one from the 12-13 age group. Both relay teams competed in the 4 x 50 metre freestyle race and finished in 7th place. Our girls 11 team included Isabella Bragaglia, Amy O’Kelly, Nysa Males and Tamsyn Williams, and our girls 12-13 team was made up of Ashley Glasscock, Aimee Machell, Elise Pemberton and Darcy Smith.

Congratulations to all of our competitors on a fantastic achievement!

Thank you to all of the staff and parents who helped to support our team.
