Braemar College has been entwined in the fabric of the Macedon Ranges for over 40 years, educating and nurturing our young people to become positive contributors to our society.
The development of our Second Campus at Woodend will allow us to offer even greater educational opportunities for students within the Macedon Ranges and beyond.
The Planning Permit for our Woodend Campus was approved in September after extensive community consultation over the four years of the planning process.
- 8 meetings with the community
- 2 meetings with the Macedon Ranges Residents Association and action groups
- 2 meetings with local Landcare groups
- A Landcare workshop hosted onsite
We would like to thank those community members who have provided input and feedback to help us get to this stage, which so far has been overwhelmingly positive and supportive.
Tenders for the construction of the new campus close on 30 November and the successful builder will be announced after the tenders have been evaluated.
Braemar College will continue to work in close consultation with the community throughout the development of its much needed new campus, as it has done throughout the process of gaining the permit and developing the masterplan.
The new location is just down the hill from the current campus, allowing for close interaction between the two sites. Braemar College is working with the Macedon Ranges Shire Council and the community to plan and develop the new campus.
The College provides drone flyover footage of the site at regular intervals. These are available on the College YouTube site.
